The Minority Business Council serves as a leader in problem solving as well as representing the diversity of the Springfield business community.

Mission:

To provide informational programming and support of minority business owners and potential minority business owners.
Minorities own 4.1 million firms nationwide that generate $694.1 billion in revenues and employ 4.8 million workers.

Critical Objectives:

Continue to provide one major minority business event per year.
Schedule a number of minority-sponsored networking mixers.
Schedule a number of business informational sessions for minority business owners.

What do we do?

We provide one Minority Business Seminar each year; a day-long seminar with classes and vendors to educate minorities on starting and/or retaining their own businesses. Classes provided include:

  • Financing
  • Bookkeeping
  • Marketing
