Money Saving Programs

Take advantage of the many cost-saving opportunities afforded Chamber members.

Programs and Services: Saving You Money

Insurance

Our insurance programs provide discounts for members of the Chamber of Commerce. These flexible and affordable employee health care insurance programs are for smaller businesses with 1 to 200 employees. Our members sign up through local insurance agents. We believe that it is very telling to note that one half of the companies currently participating in our health insurance programs are physicians’ offices and other health care providers.

Other medical related programs include: dental and vision, no cost discount prescription drug program, hearing aid discounts of up to 50% off; Section 125 plans administration via AFLAC.

Workers’ Compensation

The Chamber offers members competitive workers’ comp premiums via our workers’ comp pool administered by The Frank Gates Service Company. Companies may qualify for up to an 85% savings.

For members of the Chamber’s Safety Council who attend the required number of Safety Council meetings, a 4% reduction for annual workers’ compensation premiums is available. The Safety Council also holds monthly meetings where employers can learn about specific issues in safety management to avoid costly accidents and manage cost-effective safety programs.

Member to member discounts include: Advertising through WULM Radio, discounted services through Time Warner, a one-time, $300 discount on a Springfield News-Sun ad for new members and others.

The Chamber also works with national and state organizations, including the Ohio Chamber of Commerce and the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association, to help inform legislators on business issues that increase costs and interfere with our free market economy.
